Creative Founders are a Home Grown Story Since 1986
The Story begins in the 1970s. Bob Lehman and Frank Billingsley met while working at Giant Food in Baltimore, Maryland. Bob, a meat cutter by trade, was naturally interested in building and design and was pursuing his Maryland Home Improvement Commission Contractor’s License. Frank, a Department Manager, was continually working on building projects on the side. His career as a builder even started as a youth, constructing elaborate tree forts for friends in his Parkville neighborhood!
It made perfect sense when in 1980s, the two aspiring builders would decide to put their talents together and started designing and building decks and fences for a few family members in their spare time. Their part-time pursuits quickly evolved into building more sophisticated projects for friends of friends, neighbors, and a steady stream of new customers. Clearly, they were onto something big.
After just a few years, the business had developed so much, they retired from Giant Food. Creative Deck & Vinyl Products became their full-time pursuit and mission.
As Bob explains it, “We started with one crew, then two, now where we are today, employing several full time work crews to complete over a few hundred projects a Year. We have been building with pride for over 30 years. With our "no games" approach, we are giving our customers the fairest possible price up front, and striving to exceed their every expectation from start to finish. That’s always been our promise.”
